Crystal Fever
Sacha, a 13-year-old girl who feels rejected by those around her, discovers a mysterious travel journal. It is the logbook of Ferdinand XIII vanderhoogten Quisteling, the youngest descendant of an influential family. What do he – and the disturbing discoveries he describes and draws in his logbook – have to do with the island where Sacha has lived all her life? And what do her mother and missing father have to do with this?

By following the clues hidden in the logbook, she discovers the reason for the “great silence” she sees around her, but could not previously name. But to find out what happened to Ferdinand, she will have to take a step into the unknown that will have major consequences for the fragile balance between knowing, not knowing
and not wanting to know that has the village in its grip.
